Is DIS for you? We value self improvement, age appropriate choreography, costumes that do not show any tummy and non-competitive dancing. Our dance focuses on skill progression as well as holistic health strategies to make kids happy and resilient for the future and unlike other studios that solely focus on being the best dancer, we nurture the whole child. WE ARE PROUDLY AFFILIATED AND ACCREDITED WITH THE FOLLOWING ORGANISATIONS

DIS DANCE’s student teachers are trained through DanceStep. This is a structured student teacher training program to educate students on how to be an effective and successful student teacher. It requires helping on classes, attending 4 training days and a theory book per year.

Kelly Adams is an affiliate member of the Australian Teachers of Dancing. DIS DANCE proudly offers nationally recognised examinations for Jazz, Tap and Ballet through ATOD and we also teach from their Hip Hop, Musical Theatre and Contemporary programs.

DIS DANCE is not only an accredited school through Acrobatic Arts but they have 2 accredited teachers teaching their Acro classes!

Our studio owner Kelly Adams is accredited to teach special needs dance classes through the Rhythm Works system of training. Some of the skills learnt in this program have also been added to our programs to ensure a diverse learning environment for all our students at DIS!

Our studio owner Kelly Adams has 3 young children of her own, a Bachelor of Teaching (Primary Education), Certificate 4 in Dance Teaching and Management, is Acrobatic Arts Accredited, Rhythm Works Special Needs Dance Certified, has been selected for Clint Salter’s Inner Circle Mastermind Group for the last 12 months and has 14 years experience teaching dance. Mrs Adams believes that dance is a vehicle for self-improvement and wants to share it with as many students as possible!

There are no moves that are sexually explicit or inappropriate. The music and costumes are carefully and thoughtfully chosen. I also love that there is no focus on competition, but that the kids learn to work with others and develop great dance skills. It's also affordable (especially compared to some other dance studios).
